Making Our Way to Halifax- Day 1

Yesterday the Pierson's got to my house at 8:30 am. We packed up the car took some last pictures with my family before I left and then we were on the road by 9. We made our way through four states yesterday. We left Ohio, crossed all the way through PA, went through New Jersey and into New York to the our hotel in Tarrytown. It was my first time in New Jersey and New York! Exciting! So we stopped in Tarrytown because Kristi's cousin had a basketball tournament this weekend and this is where they were staying as well. So we met up with her aunt, uncle and other cousin and heading to the tournament to watch one of her cousin's games. The tournament was being held at Fordham University which is in the Bronx. It was a really pretty campus, at least the little part of it we saw. It had lots of tall trees and all the buildings were older and made of stone, just really pretty. On the way we passed the Bronx Zoo! Didn't look like a very good area for a zoo to be though! There were buildings not to far away from it and the highway we were driving on. Although, I must say it had the prettiest entrance gates!! After the tournament we went back to Kristi's family's hotel and had pizza with the team and their parents and then came back to our hotel for the night. So now its time to shower, get ready, and get back on the road. I have a full day of driving through new states! woohoo! =) and today will be our last full day in the U.S.!
